Governance
MESPRT is governed by a Board responsible for strategic direction, professional standards, ethical oversight, and the Society’s core activities across the region.

Dr. Wafaa Eltantawy is an Egyptian-British medical doctor, psychosexual therapist, and executive coach specializing in sexual and reproductive health. She is widely recognized for her leadership in psychosexual medicine and for her presidency of the Middle East Society for Sexual and Relationship Therapy (MESPRT), where she advances professional education and culturally sensitive sexual-health practice.

Amira ElDeeb is a Psychosexual & Relationship Therapist.
She is a Certified Psychosexual & Relationship Therapist (C-PST) and a registered member of the (COSRT – UK), (NCPS), (IAPST), (ISSM), and the (MESSM). Amira is also a Verified EMDR Therapist and a member of the EMDR Global Network, specializing in trauma-informed care.

Dr. Nabil Elkot is an Egyptian psychiatrist, psychotherapist, and academic known for advancing group therapy and drama-based therapeutic approaches in the Arab world. He serves as General Secretary of the Middle East Society for Psychiatry and Rehabilitation Therapies (MESPRT) and has played a leading role in integrating psychological treatment with cultural and artistic expression.

Dr. Ibrahim Samy is an andrologist and psychosexual therapist based in London. He specializes in human sexuality and therapeutic interventions for sexual dysfunctions and relationship issues. With a multicultural background connecting Ireland and Egypt, he integrates medical expertise with psychological insights to advance psychosexual therapy practice

Dr. Aziza Elgabbas is a German–Egyptian obstetrician and gynecologist known for her work in fertility, in-vitro fertilization (IVF), and sexual medicine. She is the founder and medical director of Eyadaty Medical Center, a multidisciplinary women’s health clinic in Giza, Egypt, offering comprehensive care across fertility, sexual health, and hormonal balance. She also serves on the board of MESPRT (Middle East Society for Preventive, Regenerative, and Therapeutic Medicine).
Registered and Regional Scope
MESPRT was registered in 2025 and is the first and only professional society of its kind dedicated to psychosexual and relationship therapies in the Middle East. Its work is grounded in evidence-based practice while remaining intentionally aligned with the cultural and religious sensitivities of the region, including values related to privacy, modesty, family systems, and social context.
